Electro?responsive shape?memory composites obtained via dual?curing processing

In this work, electro-responsive shape-memory actuators were developed by incorporating a conductive heater in dual-curing thiol-acrylate-epoxy polymer (SMP). A heater, consisting of an electrically silver-ink track printed on Kapton® substrate, was assembled to the SMP, taking advantage processing. The effect (SME) activated heat dissipated Joule track. Boron nitride agglomerates dispersed layers increase thermal conductivity and achieve faster shape-recovery. thermoelectric control unit shape recovery provide different activation strategies. SME investigated compared traditional based external heating source given dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA) apparatus. Electro-responsive found extremely than conventional SMPs heating. fastest obtained 15% boron actuator, which recovered 100% original only 8 s. controlling device provided optimal speed pulse width modulation current under application low voltage (5 V).
